Allow me to introduce myself…
My name is Diane and I am a Masters level qualified and ACA registered Counsellor.
For nearly 30 years, I have supported people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. I provide emotional and psychological support, guided understanding and practical, strength-based solutions, that we arrive at together.
My experience includes domestic and family violence, separation, parenting (incl. multiple birth), family systems, addiction, workplace health and safety, study/employment, chronic or terminal illness, bereavement, grief and loss.
I focus on identity and lived experience, with attention to the intersections of resourcefulness and adversity. Your story, intergenerational influences, and relationship to your world matters.
I use a variety of methodologies, depending on your needs and what you resonate with, as I believe in client-led and person-centered care. I use a holistic, Humanist, Existential and Biopsychosocial lens, with an interest in Development, Attachment, Individuation and Interdependence to encourage clarity, processing and decision-making.
Our therapeutic relationship will be based on mutual resonance, connection, trust, empathy and transformation. My practice is Culturally Sensitive, Trauma Informed and Intersectional.
I hope that no matter how long or short a time we spend together, that you will receive a valuable and constructive experience.
Why online?
I can keep overheads for maintaining an office space low and therefore keep prices affordable and accessible
You can access support from the comfort, convenience and safety of any place, like your own home or office, with snacks, pets, amenities and support people nearby
The online modality reduces travel time/costs, encourages dis-inhibition (which means you can be more yourself in your own space), and accommodates your carer and other responsibilities
Online Counselling can give you a sense of distance if talk-therapy feels daunting, (it usually does at first)
Meeting online can provide a sense of self-awareness when you choose to have your camera on, that allows you to witness your own non-verbal responses like body language and facial expressions during sessions. If you prefer, you can switch your camera off
I have NDIS options available and the online modality facilitates greater access and equity to accommodate disability and neurodiversity
Multiple people can access from different locations at the same time to accommodate mediation, geographic distance and safety concerns

Counselling has been my passion and focus for almost 30 years!
